Where to buy different products in town

 

Farmacias:

If you need any medicines without prescription or vitamins there are many, many pharmacies around in every neighborhood, but they are usually only open on Monday through Friday and Saturdays until midday,1:00 or 1:30. There is one farmacia in the center of town that is open all day, until 10 pm: Avenidad de la Libertad 32. After hours there is always a pharmacy open all night somewhere in town (they take turns). All pharmacies show the name and address of the all night pharmacy in their windows.

Health food stores

These are also only open Monday through Friday and on Saturday mornings.

What to buy where:

 Supermarkets have most things: fruit, vegetables, meat, fish (fresh and frozen), shampoo, deodorant, dairy products, paper products, laundry detergent, toothpaste

Droguerías have a larger selection of health and beauty products as well as products to clean the house (in case you feel inspired)

Health Food Stores have supplements, natural foods , peanut butter etc.
